Practice Owner

Dr. Robin Lang

Dr Lang grew up in a small country town in Missouri and moved to the bustling city of Portland Oregon as a teenager. With this diverse upbringing Dr Lang has a wide range of interests from white water rafting and camping to fine dining and dancing. Taking in stray animals and exposure on the family farm is what sparked her dream of being a veterinarian at the age of six. While obtaining her bachelor in animal science from Oregon State University (2002-2006) she worked in a feline-only practice which developed her strong interest in feline medicine. Dr Lang attended Oregon State University College of Veterinary Medicine from 2006 through 2010. During that time she served as the president of the student chapter of the American Association of Feline Practitioners and started a free clinic called the Feline Wellness Day which continued many years after its conception in 2008. She has a strong desire to reduce the stray and feral cat populations and has worked with mobile spay and neuter clinics toward that goal. Dr Lang worked for a feline practice in Portland,OR for 2.5 years under a board certified feline specialist.

In 2014 Dr Lang married her eHarmony sweetheart and moved to Vancouver, Washington, where they started a family with the birth of their daughter. In 2018 the family moved to New Braunfels, Texas. A short year later their son was born, a true Texan! The family has grown to include Pickles, (long hair chihuahua), Belle (chocolate labrador), Pepe (British shorthair), and Roo (black and silver tabby). This is where they want to raise their children and build a strong community relationship.
For the last twelve years Dr Lang has been committed to quality care of her patients and the development of personal relationships with her clients. She sincerely believes a strong foundation in preventive care and client education is the key to quality and longevity of life in our furry friends. August 2022, Dr Lang decided it was time to open the doors to a new type of veterinary care to fill the gap between General Practice and Critical Care. NB Animal Urgent Care is here to provide care in urgent situations when your regular general practice is unable to care for your pet. Dr Lang is a capable surgeon, enjoying a wide range of soft tissue surgery. Her love for science and the search for a diagnosis is shown in the equipment available in this hospital. Seeing families relief and joy when their fur family is on the road to recovery is what makes this career worth it every day. Dr Lang's compassion for her patients and her clients is shown daily knowing not all families get that relief when they enter these doors.

Practice Manager

Anna Armendariz

Anna Armendariz started working in the veterinary industry during high school, in 1996. She started by cleaning kennels and fell in love with the Veterinary industry, choosing to go on and pursue an Associates degree in Veterinary Technology and Animal Science from Palo Alto College. She graduated in 2004 a Licensed Veterinary Technician, and with hard work and a strong love for animals, diligently worked her way up from a position as a Vet Tech to Lead Tech, and then to Office Manager.

Anna met Dr. Lang on the job in 2020, and everything fell into place from there. Great teamwork, communication, and their combined overwhelming love for animals make up the foundation of NB Animal Urgent Care. Anna has loved animals of all shapes and sizes since she was little, and has even worked with exotics including giraffes, monkeys, zebras, etc. She thoroughly enjoys all time spent with animals, especially her three bulldogs, Patrón, Brooklyn, and country legend George Strait.

Anna was born and raised in New Braunfels and loves the community so much that, even when she moved to San Antonio for a year and a half, she traveled back to visit every day. In addition to her full-time position here at NB Animal Urgent Care, Anna runs a Freshie business, Under the Sun in Texas, that is well-known in the New Braunfels community, and is the proud mom of her son Cory, who is studying to become a diesel auto mechanic. She likes spending time at the local parks and the river, enjoys fishing, and loves quality time with her friends and family.
